so
today (Christmas eve eve) was my anniversary of my 7th (fingers crossed for last) eye surgery
so i'm going to tell this story because I'm sitting in my basement by myself but I wanted to celebrate
when I was born basically I was way early and weighed 3 pounds, 14 ounces and my kidney was screwed up and my eyes were screwed up and my doctors p much told my parents that if i did live i'd probably be blind. the story w/ my kidney is that there was a blood clot that caused it to flip out and decide to become half of the size as the other one and p much just dissappear after 11 years. so that happened
and so i've had a bunch of 'correction' surgeries because I had a lazy eye, which means one eye is looking where you want it to and the other one just kind of does it's own thing. i got made fun of in elementary school one time and told my mom I wanted them to fix it so i had a surgery but it didn't work for the long term, so I had another one to fix my other eye. so basically by last year one eye was perfectly fine (not vision-wise oops i have terrible vision) and the other one was hanging out doing it's thing. so i asked for my eyes to be fixed for christmas and i had a surgery and ta-dah now they're all fine and dandy.
you don't realize how much you take for granted little things like looking in the mirror and seeing both of your eyes look back at you i'm telling you
i still smile whenever i look in the mirror because for my whole life i was so self-conscious of that
ok end of my personal life story bye thanks for listening children
